Product Catalog & Variants

Keep thousands of SKUs organized with specs, variant matrices and dealer-specific catalogs

Products arrive from your ERP and gain a category tree, spec tables and links to equivalents and companion items inside the portal. Size, color and dimension variants collapse into a single product card shown as a matrix, so a dealer types quantities across the grid and adds the whole row in one action. What each dealer can see is governed by brand, product family or contract scope.

Working Processes

How the process works, step by step

  1. Product Import

Part number, unit, tax rate and base dimensions arrive from the ERP, and the portal treats those fields as read-only.

  2. Category Tree

Products are placed in a tree built the way dealers actually search, and one item can hang in more than one branch.

  3. Attribute Definition

Technical fields such as dimensions, material, standard and certification are defined once and feed both the filters and the comparison table.

  4. Variant Matrix

Size, color and dimension breakdowns settle into a row-and-column grid under one product card, so the dealer reads one table instead of walking through forty separate pages.

  5. Media and Documents

Photographs, drawings, safety data sheets and fitting guides attach to the card for the dealer to download.

  6. Related Products

Equivalents, spares and companion items link to each other, so an out-of-stock line offers its alternative on the spot.

  7. Catalog Scope

Rules decide which brands, which families and which contracted items each dealer may see.

  8. Search Index

Part numbers, cross-reference codes, barcodes and synonyms sit in one index, so a dealer typing a competitor's code still finds the item.

  9. Grid to Basket

Only the cells with a number in them become basket lines, each carrying its own part number. Before submitting, the dealer reads the whole variant spread back off the same grid.

  10. Quick Order Entry

Pasting a list of codes and quantities, or uploading a spreadsheet, builds a long order in a single step.

  11. Content QA

Items missing an image, a description or a required attribute are listed so the gaps close before a dealer meets them.

  12. Catalog Maintenance

New items, code changes and discontinuations arrive with the sync, and a withdrawn product keeps its page so past orders still resolve.
